Biography

Katherine Evelyn Cassidy was born in Los Angeles, California on November 25th, 1986 to former model Sherry Williams and singer David Cassidy. She did not do any professional acting until after graduating high school, though she did performed in local theater, and participated in many other extracurricular activities as well. Growing up, her hobbies included playing piano and guitar, singing, dancing, cheerleading and gymnastics.

In 2002, Katie recorded her father's 70s hit, "I Think I Love You," while being filmed for VH1's TV documentary, Bubblegum Babylon. On the show, David Cassidy publicly criticized the 15 year old's decision, saying that he was disappointed that she didn't wait until later in her career to record his classic song.

By 2004, Katie had moved on to modeling, working with names like Abercrombie and Fitch and Guess, and then was cast as Zoe on the television series 7th Heaven in 2005. Several movie credits followed, including Click (2006), Black Christmas (2006), and Taken (2008). Katie spent a year working on the CW TV series Supernatural (2007) before taking on the roles of Trish Wellington on Harper's Island and Ella Simms in the remake of Melrose Place in 2009.
